Due to the elastic waist and ultra gathering this skirt works perfect as maternity wear (as proved by the model and pattern author) but works perfectly as a normal skirt as well

Tiered petticoats have a rounder fullness and are in style with lolita fashion.  They’re really easy to make - I’ve made them in about an hour - and it’s way cheaper to buy netting than to spend it on an overpriced petti.
